A partner initiative between the Merrimack Valley Workforce Investment Board and Lawrence Prospera's SISU Center,  EARN is a US Department of Labor funded re-entry program using a three tiered strengths based ‘jobs first’ workforce development strategy. The Earn program provides social-emotional skills development, as well as pre-apprenticeship and apprenticeship training and new employee pre-apprenticeship opportunities for Lawrence
based young people ages 18 to 24. 

Eligible Participants must meet the following criteria:
  • Previously incarcerated 
  • Under the supervision of the justice system, either in out-of-home placements, on probation, or on parole
  • Under an alternative sentence by the justice system
  • Under a diversion program as an alternative to prosecution
  • Has never been convicted of a sex crime other than prostitution
  • Is low-income (participants residing in the target area are considered to be low-income)
                                          Training Opportunities Include:
  • Manufacturing
  • Landscaping
  • Construction
